The photo that inspired this drawing was taken in 2016 or 2017, around the time that my friend Caitie was retiring from model. We met up at her home and worked with natural light around her living room and kitchen.
Natural light is uniquely suited to drawing or painting the human form. There’s something soft and mysterious, but playful in how we can interpret the colors. Maybe that’s just me :)
