The colors for this drawing came together as I worked. No planning or forethought, only call and response. This being a gray-toned paper, it made the warms pop with a bit more gusto, so I pushed those contrasts.

The diagonal beam of yellow became important halfway through, and it was around then that I began understanding where it needed to go.

While the drawing itself is untitled, it is because I am thinking that individual names might not be the ticket. This series is bigger than the individual drawing as I explore my ideas on Beauty and Hope with color.
